Cashiers and Coupons Part 3

Well-Lisa has said her piece on Cashiers so I figured I would add my 2 cents!

We have had consistent issues with a few places around town concerning coupons and cashiers. We also have had issues with just a few individuals at the others. Some of the cashiers view the coupons as extra work and treat you like a low brow, cheap-skate. I do not appreciate this type of treatment-as I believe that it is smart to get products for less-why would you pay more.

Basically we are a middle class household-we have lived for years with out the savings we have enjoyed for the last few months. We decided that saving money and enhancing our lifestyle was what we wanted to do. I do not appreciate militant cashiers or managers causing us grief because we use coupons to save money.

Fortunately-with the bad is the good. We meet cashiers all over town who give us tips and like to learn how we are saving money. Like Lisa (yes another Lisa)-a cashier at Zellers-gave us a few tips to help us save money.

One tip was that food sales rotate on three month cycles...if it is on sale now...it will go on sale again in three months. She said to figure out what you are going to need and try to stretch it out for 3 months. Great tip.

Another tip she gave us pertains to HBC Points. You get 500 points for every 'green' bag you use (up to five bags)...this adds up fairly fast.

The last tip she gave us was about going to discount-slightly damaged appliances-storesshe hasd saved a fair amount of money in the last while. Another great tip for saving scratch.

So people are people and cashiers are people too. So The good comes with the bad. Just ignore the rude or bad cashiers and enjoy the good ones. Thanks Lisa for great service and tips-keeep it up!
