The Proof is in the Pictures-After One Month!

So there have been some naysayers to the coupon craze! Some say that you cannot save money in Canada - we at Saving Scratch say that you are wrong. The proof is in the pictures. The pictures in this post are the amount of extra food that we have accumulated in one month! Yes I said one month!

This extra food is basically free and what we have accumulated on top of our regular grocery order (or spending) and (there is an AND) after what we have donated to a local food kitchen!

So if some someone says that couponing isn't worth it or that it is a waste of time...just ask them how much they got for free this month. And to all the people who say you can't save money by couponing in Canada-I just want to say Yeah it is different-yet it can be done with observing deals and clipping coupons with a whole lot of math. The proof is in the pictures-you can do it too!

Happy Saving!

Sorry for not Posting

Sorry people for not posting for a few days. We have been busy getting ready for a yard sale. This is a good way to make some extra money and clean the basement right out. We sold stuff that we were never going to use and made $90 for our efforts. It was not as much as we were hoping...but the weather was fairly bad and we had to compete with a lot of large yard sales.

But we met a lot of people and our basement has never looked better. We even made enough room to add a shelving unit to store some of food/cleaning stores, that we have accumulated from couponing.

As well, we gave a lot of our stuff away to get rid of it even helped out the Alzheimer's Society with a donation of book/picture holders that they needed-which feels good; and at last (but not least) we donated a lot of stuff to the local Salvation Army-which helps out the community!

Keep your eye out for some new posts coming soon!
